How to order a custom cake (and what to tell me)

Every custom cake starts the same way: a message with a date and a rough idea. From there I can usually come back with a design suggestion and a price within a day.

To quote quickly, send me five things — the date you need it for, the occasion, roughly how many people you're feeding, your flavour preference, and any inspiration photos or colour palette you've saved.

Most 8-inch three-layer celebration cakes start from £45 and go up depending on the decoration. Character work, hand-modelled toppers and sculpted shapes take longer, so they sit higher.

Booking window: two to three weeks' notice is ideal for custom designs, and weekends in the summer and December fill up first. Smaller bakes like giant cookies and tray bakes can often be turned around in a few days.

A 50% deposit secures your date in the baking calendar, with the balance due at collection.
