How to order treats for your next event

Whether it's a birthday party, baby shower, wedding or office launch, the right sweet table can become the centrepiece of the room. Start with one statement item — usually a small celebration cake or a stacked cupcake tower — and build around it with treats that are easy to pick up and eat without cutlery.

Cupcakes, brownies and iced sugar cookies are brilliant for events because they're pre-portioned, look great on stands and travel well. Giant cookies work brilliantly as a shared dessert or a personalised 'cake' alternative.

For corporate events, branded colours and individually boxed treats make a polished impression. For social celebrations, match the theme to your invitations or décor and add a few personal touches like names, ages or company logos.
